Want to make your JavaScript code more functional but you’re not sure what techniques to use or why you might want to use them?

In this talk, we’ll go over the basics of functional JavaScript programming and discuss the functional programming trend. We’ll start with a discussion of what it means to be functional. Then we’ll dig into functional topics like imperative vs. declarative, immutability, and composition.

Students can expect to leave with hands-on experience with functional code, so bring your laptop to follow along with examples.

This workshop is hosted by guest instructor Eve Porcello and partner Alex Banks.
